About Brookings School District
The Brookings School District is a PK-12 public institution comprised of students residing in our school district. Our purpose is to provide education to students in a public setting. The district vision is: Empowering all learners to embrace and be inspired to realize their potential.

Early Education Scholarships
Our preschool program, part of the Brookings Child Care Collaborative (BCCC), provides high-quality, affordable care for 4- and 5-year-olds in Brookings elementary schools. We offer care from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, including inclement weather and no-school days, to support families’ needs.
Our program addresses the childcare crisis by fostering early learning while ensuring accessibility and affordability for all families. Through a community-driven approach, the Brookings School District, Boys & Girls Club, and Brookings Economic Development Corporation and SDSU are working together to expand access without duplicating services, creating a sustainable framework for long-term impact.
With partnerships and community support, we are reshaping early learning in Brookings to provide children with the foundation for a lifetime of success.
