Helpline Center
About Helpline Center
The mission of the Helpline Center is making lives better by giving support, offering hope and creating connections all day, every day.
The Helpline Center serves thousands of people every year by connecting individuals to resources and support, providing referrals, building community volunteers, offering hope to individuals with thoughts of suicide and supporting families bereaved by suicide loss. We support over 100,000 people each year.

211 Program
211 is an easy-to-remember and access source for social service and government information from housing to food to health. Help is available 24/7 - phone, text, email, app. Enhanced 211 services for the Brookings area include:
- Delta Dental Appointments - Scheduling two weeks for the Delta Dental Mobile Van. Parents are able to call 24/7 to schedule an appointment for their child with the Delta Dental Mobile service. 211 also provides translation services when needed.
-Helping Hand Resource Guide - The Helping Hand Resource Guide is a pocket size guide that lists the basic needs resources and a map of their location. The Helpline Center updates this guide for Brookings County each year to ensure accurate, up-to-date resources. Printing of 5,000 copies of the Guide is also included within this allocation.
