Volunteer Service Bank has been serving the Brookings, South Dakota community for over 25 years. We are a locally funded, nonprofit organization that is committed to making a difference.
Our volunteers provide special services to the elderly, handicapped, youth, and underprivileged.
Medical Transport Program
The Volunteer Service Bank, founded in 1992, is an agency that connects volunteers with those in need of assistance. Our Medical Transportation program provides rides to medical appointments for residents of Brookings County who are in need. Our main clientele is elderly persons and those with chronic health conditions or disabilities. We receive referrals from local and regional health care providers and assist them in caring for patients. All rides are provided at no-cost to the rider through volunteer time and talent. Our drivers are reimbursed at .40 per mile.
