Girl's on the Run

Girls on the Run is an afterschool program for 3rd through 5th grade girls that focuses on building social, emotional and physical skills. Girls learn about how to build confidence, how to recognize and identify their emotions, how to be a good friend and how they can use their talents to give back to their community and world. We recognize that there is an important connection between the mind and the body, so we teach these critical life skills through fun, interactive and accessible running games and physical activity. With funding, we could facilitate two 7-week sessions of Girls on the Run in the Spring and Fall. Currently, rises in the cost of living have made it harder for physical education programs to operate and families to justify the expense. To show our commitment to accessibility, we offer financial assistance in two different ways. Our online registration includes an income-based sliding fee scale where families can receive a discount based on their household income. We also offer full scholarships to those who need it as well. Your funding would primarily go towards these forms of assistance.
