Career Advantage

Our program supports individuals with disabilities in the community who are working towards transitional or employment-related goals. The individuals we support require specialized vocational services to overcome disability related barriers and attain self sufficiency through transition, or to achieve successful employment outcomes. Services are not limited by age, gender, race or disability. We build upon existing skills, identify areas of support, and individualize service(s) to meet the person's needs. Supports often include any number of customized methods: approaches, learning styles, environmental and cultural consideration, support need/challenges, and individual goals. All services are specifically designed to empower, teach, increase independence, enhance quality of life, and community contribution. Supported Employment Services occur in an integrated community setting, meet the person’s occupational goals, enhance general well being, be sustainable and realistic. A key characteristic which distinguishes supported employment from other employment services is the provision of ongoing support services for individuals who have the most significant disabilities. We focus on business and client outcomes, high quality services, community education, cultural awareness, personal development, inclusion, and opportunities to ensure the people we support can not only obtain, but maintain competitive employment.
