FREE online fitness classes for adults and teens. Access by becoming an online member on the ARCFit Facebook page and have access to several health-related links/resources

ARCfit does also have over 300 videos online for people to use for a fee. Individuals can contact and a password will be created for them to join.

FREE Virtual Programming – Elementary through Teen

Go to “Boys & Girls Club of Brookings” on Facebook and request to join the specific age group of virtual programming of your preference.

Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program (small groups)

Online e-Mentoring for small groups (4-6) of K-6 grade students (date and times may vary). Each group is led by two Mentors and have either a social-emotional or academic focus. Mentors are screened and complete BCYMP's pre-service training and Mandatory Reporter training. 

  • The groups will last 1-semester, and that there will be a summer session, too. Parenting adults will have to re-register for each session.

Parenting adults should email for more information on how to register youth.  

Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program (1:1)

Adults 18+ who are interested in becoming a BCYMP Mentor should apply here:

  • The pre-service Mentor training and interview will take approximately 3 hours. All training has been updated to be online and an increase of Mentors is needed (read "The Kids Aren't Alright")

Parenting adults should email for more information on how to register youth as a mentee.

Virtual FREE Recipes for Play - Available anytime online via our website:

Virtual STEAM Challenges for 6-12-year-olds designed to engage children with materials found around the house for $5 ($4 members). Register at for this web-based Zoom class.

Virtual Take-n-Makes for 6-12-year-olds for $10 ($8 members). A kit containing all materials needed for the web-based Zoom class will be available for curbside pickup. A museum educator will guide you through the creative process. Register at

Play Along at Home Kits for $20 will be available through our gift shop Play Central Toys & Books. Each kit will include materials and directions for 5 different hands-on activities plus bonus materials. Kit options include STEM for 6-12-year-olds, Art for 6-12-year-olds, and Preschool for 3-5-year-olds.


Girl Scouts - Dakota Horizons

Virtual FREE programming for girls K-12th grades available at

Girl Scouts at Home is open to all interested girls with opportunities for members to earn badges similar to what girls experience at a troop meeting or event. Topics range from art to cooking to community service projects to do at home.
